Description
The Porsche 911 has a fascinating history. While it was intended to be the successor of Porsche’s first car, the Porsche 356, the 911 was created as a true sports car envisioned by Ferry Porsche, the son of Ferdinand Porsche. That vision of a more powerful, large, and comfortable has endured since 1963, with many updates and iterations, yet still the distinctive 911. The seventh generation 911 has been in production from 2011 to 2019. The refresh, or the second phase of this generation, was from 2016, with multiple upgrades in terms of styling, performance, and trims being added. If you are in the market for an iconic sports car that moves with incredible agility, then look no further than this 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera.
Exterior and Interior
The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera was offered in multiple color options, from the Jet Black Metallic to the flashy Miami Blue; this specimen sports the GT Silver Metallic finish. Right up front, the 911 exhibits its iconic design paired with a Porsche Dynamic Light System PLUS (PDLS) LED headlight system. The dual side vents and the air dam finished in black can be seen lower. The SportDesign side mirrors feature a dual-tone finish with GT Silver Metallic on top and high gloss black under. The rear is host to a dual tailpipe setup, with badges in chrome. It sits on a set of 20″ Carrera S multi-spoke wheels finished in silver with the full-color Porsche crest on the center caps and backed by black brake calipers. The electric slide tilt glass sunroof provides ample lighting to the black interior. The silver Carrera etched door sills accentuate entry to the vehicle. The front power seats feature 14-way power functions along with the Memory Package. Premium sound experience is provided by the Bose speakers. The center stage is taken by the GT Sport steering wheel wrapped in leather with the full-color Porsche crest. Factory packages include the Smoking Package and the Premium Package PLUS.
Engine
As with its design, the 911 is known for its performance. Take this 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera, as it features a 3.0L Porsche boxer engine coupled with a 7-speed PDK transmission. Power output is at 365hp, along with 332 lb-ft of torque. O-62 mph is clocked in at an impressive 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 182 mph.
